Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice playfully challenges historical ideals of femininity and societal expectations of how the ‘good girl’ should behave. Featuring the works of Curtin Fine Arts students Nina Raper and Hamide Kocer, the exhibition responds to personal experiences of sexism played out in digital subcultures and commercial industries. Through performance, textiles, sculpture and projection, the artists present a contemporary female lens to notions of freedom and expression.

Curated by Kelly Price for the 2022 Town of Victoria Park Arts Season, Sugar, Spice & Everything Nice is a satirical antidote to third millennium misogyny…because that’s what little girls are made of.
